Adriana Chechik tweeted on Sunday that she had broken her back twice when she leaped off the platform of the exhibit and into the foam cubes. Well, “ I fractured my back twice, and I’m having surgery today to insert a meter rod for support. Send your encouragement. When it rains, it really pours, and I can definitely feel it now, Chechik added.” An inquiry for comment received no immediate response from her.

At least two TwitchCon participants said they suffered serious wounds as a result of interacting with an interactive display that included a shallow hole with foam cubes strewn on bare pavement.
The livestreaming video platform’s weekend-long event, which included the exhibit, was hosted this year in the San Diego Convention Center. The installation, which was run by Lenovo and Intel, enabled visitors to “fight” one another by standing on one of two platforms that were suspended above a foam pit.
Probably the most painful thing I’ve seen in awhile. Twitch streamer Adriana Chechik has confirmed broken her back in two separate places following this jump at TwitchCon pic.twitter.com/QdojGn5UtG

The exhibit, which many people in the Twitch community deemed unsafe, outraged them. One of a few problems with the event that participants mentioned on social media.
Requests for comments from Lenovo and Intel were not immediately reacted to.
When she took part in the exhibit on Saturday, Streamer LochVaness said that she also suffered injuries. After the tragedy, she assured followers by posting a picture of herself in a wheelchair.

She claimed that after winning her round on Saturday, she made the decision to jump from the platform.
After jumping off, her foot impacted the ground, her ankle rolled, and then her kneecap landed on the side, she recalled. “I was unable to move. If one of the staff members hadn’t soothed me, I would have practically fainted.”
She claimed that medical responders were successful in repositioning her kneecap. Doctors determined she had no broken bones after she arrived at the hospital on Sunday morning.
She said that she would need “additional help” with her knee and would need to consult a sports medicine doctor. She added that in order to determine whether surgery is necessary, she also has to get an MRI scan.
In spite of the alleged injuries, the exhibit was still accessible on Sunday morning. After signing waivers, staff members offered bystanders to experience the exhibit, but visitors were cautious. Visitors who were interested flocked to the pit and snapped pictures did not participate.
